A catch-all feature that is enabled for a given mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the exact same domain name, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial if you run some company, for example. Since you may start receiving spam email messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with email filters so as to receive only real messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

In case you have a Linux shared web hosting package with our company and you would like to activate the catch-all feature for a specific mailbox that you have in your account, it will take literally just a click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain registered in your account. You can pick one address per domain by clicking the corresponding button. This will enable the feature instantly, so all messages sent to miswritten addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button once again will deactivate the catch-all feature. If you’ve got activated email forwarding, our system will display a warning note and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you remove the forwarding or you can simply choose another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be enabled effortlessly if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a mini button handily situated right next to each one of them. With just one mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this option using the context menu that will appear. In case any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will warn you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
